Walter C. Wyatt
Partner – Workers’ Compensation Division
Walter Wyatt is a Senior Partner in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. Walt manages the workers’ compensation department for this office. During the last 28 years of his 32-year legal career, Walt has exclusively represented self-insured employers, insurance carriers and servicing agents in the defense of workers’ compensation claims. Walt has defended and tried all types of workers’ compensation claims including permanent total disability, toxic injury/exposure cases, repetitive trauma and other complex, high exposure cases. Throughout his entire legal career, Walt has placed a strong emphasis on aggressive defense handling, excellent client service and cost effective representation.
Walt graduated from the University of Alabama in 1984 earning his Bachelor of Science degree. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1987. Walt has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1987. He has been a member of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida since 1990. Walt is also a member of the American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation Section, and the Broward County Bar Association.
Walt resides in Dania Beach, Florida with his wife, Cindy. His recreational interests include snow skiing, scuba diving, boating and traveling.
